A week at Speak American

Monday evening belongs to the A2 group, working through past tenses with Priya's picture-sequence cards spread across the big table in the Street Room. By 18:00 the espresso machine has done a full shift.

Tuesday and Thursday are conversation nights. If you walk past the Garden Room at 19:00 you'll hear the B1 group mid-debate — this term's running argument is city versus countryside, and the countryside faction is losing gracefully.

Thursday late is the C1 seminar in the library, currently dissecting a stand-up special line by line to work out why the pauses are funny. Afterwards, half of them stay for Conversation Club, which is open to every level and costs nothing but a snack for the table.

Saturday morning the Attic fills with the B2 workshop: three hours, one essay, much coffee. By 13:00 the whiteboard is a crime scene of linking devices. We wouldn't run it any other way.
