About Speak American

I opened Speak American in 2009 with two rooms above a bakery, one whiteboard, and eleven students who had all been told at school that they were bad at languages.

None of them were. What they had been given was grammar drills and a red pen, and what they had never been given was ninety minutes a week where somebody made them talk. That is still the whole method, and it is why our groups stop at eight.
